Expert Seed Association / Workshop Facilitator
In the framework of the project TCP/INT/302 "Strengthening seed supply in the ECO region, with specific emphasis on Central Asia", under the overall direction of the Seed Production of AGPS and the head of ICARDA Seed Unit, in collaboration with AGPS officers, ECO Secretariat staff and delegates to the Consultative Meetings on Establishment of a Regional Seed Association the consultant will carry out the following task: Formulate guideline and checklist of key issues for consideration in assessing the potential of stakeholders coming together to form seed associations.

Training and organizing meetings with the different breeders to establish a deep relationship between SPII and each breeder.
- Negotiate the condition of representation (trialing and registration) of the varieties,
- Identify the correct varieties and germplasm fulfilling their constraints,
- Negotiate the supply of pre basic, basic or certified seeds and/or royalty payment (Plant Breeders' Right recognition).
